Arab Strap Robbed on Tour--

A theif made off with Arab Strap's tour money this weekend.

Sunday (April 9), a thief allegedly made off with the receipts for the door for the band's ongoing American tour when its tour manager, Teresa Murray, forgot her purse after the act had dinner at Nick's Roast Beef Restaurant in Philadelphia. When she returned to claim it, Arab Strap's earnings for its tour, about $6,000, were missing from her bag.

Philadelphia police dusted the area for fingerprints and are reviewing the restaurant's video surveillance tapes. No arrests have been made at this point. Anyone with information pertaining to the theft should contact the Philadelphia police at 215-686-3093.

"It's a sad day when these things happen," said Sally Pye of the band's label, Transdreamer Records in a statement. "It's so difficult for bands to tour these days and it's literally all of the money for the tour. Hopefully, we will find the thief."

Arab Strap will continue on touring to support this year's The Last Romance (Transdreamer).
